![]() ![]() ![]() As you continued to wander the beaches, you realized that there were many here now who had found sanctuary when their previous homes had vanished. The next was a black and white mare. She told you tales of how she travelled across great deserts, how she had come so close to dying from lack of water, only to have the desert turn to beach and the air filled with the scent and sound of the ocean and a myriad of gurgling streams of fresh water.
![]() The black and white stallion with the bright flaming mane told tales of how he had to travel through difficult mountain passes, where the path was fragile and liable to give way at any moment. Where small stones threatened to damage sensitive hooves, or cause a tumble down a cliff if one should not pay attention to where one was going. The wind would howl and attempt to pull him off the treacherous paths, it was icy, cold and cruel.
![]() During these tales, a small mare enjoyed a milkshake. It was so strange to see! The other two seemed insulted that the mini Crystal wasn't taking their stories serious enough. After one last sip she looked up, "You can dwell on the past and let it consume you, or you can let it go, enjoy life and have ice cream!" Twenen'tri'D^rui and Chazen'zory were on the verge of protesting, when they realized that Syau'sniker was right. Fortunately there was enough ice cream to go around.
![]() Later in the day, once the other had left, a truly wild looking mare galloped along the beach. Her mane seemed almost tangled, and her eyes glowed gold. That strange eye focused on you as she raced past and a shiver went up your spine. You wondered if she was another who had lost her home, and if so, what horrors had she encountered in her journey here that would haunt her in this way.
