The Winged Ones

The little mare was curled up beneath a rather large flower. It was her favoritest place to be in the whole of Pegasus Heights. Her name was Bright Flower after all.

Most wouldn't have even noticed the small creature there, unless of course they too were just that size. Something like Winter Flurry.

Winter Flurry has a naughty streak in him, he liked to tease his mate. He was so bad that once he made her cry. He'd never admit to it, but he felt rather guilty about it later. But he wasn't going to apologize, oh no. Never. Actually, at the moment he was more interested in sneaking up on her.

He landed as quietly as he could, which was very quiet on the clouds. Then snuck closer, closer, closer.....

.............

And finally when he was close enough........she leapt right up in his face, scaring him witless!

He glared at the sniggering mare, "That's not fair! You cheated." Bright Flower kept giggling. The stallion spluttered, "Well....well, I'll get you.....umm......twice as good next time. Yeah!" Bright Flower stuck her tongue out, daring him to do his best.

Mini-Flitters may not be the most intelligent of creatures, but they do keep life interesting.
