"Watch where you're stepping!" a tiny voice cried from the ground. You scan the fallen leaves but see nothing...no, wait, something bright and orange just moved.
"Like I said, those big feet of yours could really do some damage to us little creatures." You kneel down to get a closer look. It was a little equine, about an inch high, with a bright orange coat and green tail. You didn't want to mention it, but he kind of looked like he was dressed up in pumpkin garb. "Stop your gawking, I'm a Tevla-Roja and my name is Pumpkin King Haven't you ever seen anything small like me before?" Now that he'd mentioned it, there were those Ja'aleks and the Butterflea that were pretty darn tiny. You introduce yourself. "Is it safe to come out now," an even smaller, higher pitched voice said from beneath some leaves. A mare emerged when the stallion reassured her everything was under control. She was brightly stripped like a peppermint...no, like a candy cane.
"This is my friend, Sweet Joy" the stallion said of the mare. But even after the introductions, she seemed a little nervous around your much larger form. You smile sheepishly, knowing there was nothing you could do about your size, and then came up with an excuse as to why you could not linger here. The mare waved a relieved goodbye while the stallion nodded knowingly. As you followed a path through the trees, you came upon three more of the little equines, in this case all stallions.
The three of them were silent, and you got the sense that you were somehow beneath them, unworthy of their notice. The middle one in particular seemed to have a real distaste for you, while the first was just kind of aloof, and perhaps didn't have any bad feelings towards you but rather, it was just his way to be quiet and emotionless. Anyways, you move on as you were obviously not particularly welcome there.
