From Shell To Sky

She ran across the waters edge
The starry ocean cold
She sang among the crystal caves
The fractured light unfolds.

From shell to sky
From Earth to Sea
Her shadow falls
Her body lays.

What songs upon your ear to hear
What dance do your feet follow
What perfume scented upon humble winds
That heed the dragons call.

From shell to sky
From Earth to Sea
Her shadow falls
Her still body lays still.

Who shall mourn that solemn beast
Who shall sing that dirge
She who ran on coastal sand
She who sang the greeting call

From shell to sky
From Earth to Sea
Her shadow falls
Her body lays still.

Tears that fall upon her face
Tears that drip stinging to fall
Upon that body she held dear
Upon the dragon she called her friend

From shell to sky
From Earth to Sea
Her shadow falls
Her body lays still.

Time that passes and still she mourns
Time that flies and still she stands
Till that draconian heart beats by love alone
Till that fair maiden sings of friendship eternal

From shell to sky
From Earth to Sea
Her shadow falls
Her body lays.

Heed well this warning or blessing shall it be
Heed well the words passed on to thee
For a dragons friendship is eternal
When one believes.

From Shell to Sky
From Earth To Sea
Her Shadow Falls
Forever they Soar.
