The Characters
Sir Topaz: The marquis of Yellowstone. A handsome, intelligent, brave knight who takes everything very seriously.
Sir Garnet: The baron of Ruby-ridge. A clumsy, lanky knight with a very high opinion of himself. He thinks that life is a joke.
Emerald: The king of Ho.
Amethyst: The king's wife and the queen consort of Ho.
Opal: The wise and beautiful sorceress.
Malachite: The old sorcerer that fights for the old ways.
Time: Around 1630
Place: The king's palace in the city of Zirkonia, situated in the kingdom of Ho.
